Aaargh...sooooo disappointing.

Game should have been put to bed at half time, we played very very well and then a couple of our players went a bit quiet in the second half. Mbenge red changed the game but to be honest, he really doesn't look suited to right back position and hasn't done for a few games. Wrexham were good value though, helped by a ridiculously lenient ref, and certainly know how to rifle shots on target from distance.
But overall a great game and we played well enough i reckon...very disappoiting.

No 12 stood out as a walking advert for yellow/red cards if the ref did his job.He dragged Cook around waiting for a corner (sterm talking to both ) pretty much immediatly pushed Smyth to the ground waiting for the next corner ( another talking to BOTH) remember Mbengue getting booked in the FA Cup for being innocent in that situation.
Kabore then crunched Smyth from behind ( such a clear yellow got nothing ) which resulted in Smyth getting so angry he lost it a bit (yellow of course ).
This was on tv probably much worse sitting in LR fuming fans.
Mbengue couls have pulled out of both challenges but chose not to and fcuked us and had to face that team coming into the dressing room after that meltdown.Wonder how that went btw

He also argued with the assistant over a throw and dived trying to win a couple of free-kicks which the ref didn't give.

In circumstances like this, I would love the ref to explain why the player didn't get booked when others did for far less. Incompetence or bias?

Tried to hold off instant reactions across socials etc.

Waking up this morning it feels absolutely sickening still. As many have said - you just can’t lose that game from that position.

On the positives - CBs (again), Vale, and MOTM by a street Madsen. He dominated that game first half, we’ve really got a top CM for the level now. Who’d have thought.

Negatives - fitness, again ole ole. Wingers (end product). Subs (somebody explain to me how 20/30 minutes of Edwards (at rb, cb or cdm) isn’t productive there. Options on bench (they bring in two players who score, we bring on u23s).

Really painful one to take. But I’d do that 10 times out of 10 vs watching those Stoke and Oxford performances.

On Madsen!!! I thought his technical skills, quick, accurate, defence opening passing, pens, dead balls, all together with his physical attributes long legs and hight, made him look a potential top CM at this level from his first games for us last season. Luton for example. Great to see him come on as he has the last month of last season and this. MOM again yesterday for me.

After the first yellow, I think I was thinking, make him play the full 90 as we won’t see him for a couple of weeks. He made an unbelievablely stupid challenge on the halfway line. But I don’t understand with 4 minutes to go why we didn’t do some “dark arts” and seen the game out with 10 men. We had enough experience on the pitch. Couldn’t we pretend to get a head injury to eg Bennie or Kolli, and brought on Edwards?

Which was my point somewhere else. We commit 90 minutes of crime against football at Stoke, then can't see a 2-1 lead out at home in added time. It's senseless and makes you seethe. If we'd won on Saturday and lost at Stoke playing properly, we'd have 2 more points this week. Perhaps someone can explain that to me, as our puppet manager clearly can't!
