Can't see another thread on this but this sky interview with Smythy about his online abuse made me really down and then angry

https://www.skysports.com/foot

Whatever his limitation he's a good pro, works head, top attitude and loves the club. As someone else said about Sam field compare that to Beales boys

Maybe we give him a standing ovation in support come the 11th minute of next home game?

Great minds think alike Paddy. Let's go with this version. Really feel for Paul sand his family. Clive can you lock my one out if you can?

Never knowingly right.

WTF!! This site aside, I don't do social media. I only ever did Facebook, and came off that several years ago. Admittedly more to do with reservations about the bloke who owns it and the motives of his company, but one of my best decisions given how toxic it often seems to become!

I hope QPR and relevant authorities are fully on board with this and helping him.

The OP's suggestion for an 11th minute ovation is a brilliant idea!

Good luck Smythy!!

I still have no idea of what was said, thankfully - hard to understand what motivates people to behave like this. Vvankers doesn't even cover it.

I think a round of applause on the 11th minute is a good idea.

Paul Smyth was excellent on Saturday and was up and down the pitch working so hard for the team, for me a really good professional performance he did not stop running, dare I say in a Jamie Mackie style.
These are the good sort of players we need, sure he makes mistakes and sometimes takes the wrong option but he's plying his trade at Q.P.R. not Arsenal or Man City.

He, in my opinion gives his all every time he plays, can't ask for more than that, what's not to like.
We have had many players here over the years that haven't given us everything like Smyth does.
Also makes it easier for ND to play his game.

No football player's performance or lack of it in any football game, Beale managed or whoever deserves receiving death threats to himself, his misses or their kids. Sick f*****

I think that’s the first time I’ve ever seen you swear on here, and you’re bang on.

As sick and twisted as it was, I really don't think it was from one of our fans. The same account sent a really abusive message to Kilmarnock fc as well

I think (my view only) a lot of the abuse is generated from people who are betting addicts and are relying on results , players to score for their multi bets to come in, and when teams players don't score, perform, get yellow / red cards they lose sight of reality and become dicks by sending vile threats to a player, his wife and kids

Absolute cunce. I get it: people get frustrated or downright angry about football but there is no excuse whatsoever for threatening players or their families. Hope they nail these scheissekopfen.
