Lower Loft Renewals... 14:17 - May 22 with 30968 views | Southend_Rss | My mate sits in NL and has had an email saying that he has to move unless he has a child with him next year. It's to do with making it a new family stand.. Anyone else sit in the lower loft and had an email from the club?? That's gonna cause problems trying to relocate surely..
Lower Loft Renewals... on 20:01 - Jun 5 with 1823 views | lowerloftgirl | A post by hertshoops on qprreport, Last season I considered my lad old enough to sit through a match and appreciate what was going on. It was fantastic to replicate what my old dad must have felt bringing me along to stand in the loft at a similar age all those years ago, and what an amazing first season my boy had ! I feel the club are shooting themselves in the foot with this As a regular visitor to the loft (and other parts of the ground this season) I feel saddened that the atmosphere in the lower loft can only suffer from the club forcing these longstanding fans to shift elsewhere If the club are trying to enhance the 'spectator experience' for those with children by making the lower loft 50% children, surely they will be turning most of them off by sanitising that atmosphere ? What about those forcibly seperated from their longstanding mates - how is their 'spectator experience' being enhanced ? We tend to gravitate towards PL if we can as we both want to be closer to the singing, but if the atmosphere in the loft is crap next season we'll be in ellers regardless of any family stand pony [Post edited 1 Jan 1970 1:00]

Lower Loft Renewals... on 09:39 - Jun 6 with 1740 views | TGRRRSSS | Has anybody had a problem renewing in Lower Loft, I know of one poster (well known here) who said he renewed with no bother in usual seat so... are the club disregarding the upper managments stupid ideas?
Lower Loft Renewals... on 10:24 - Jun 6 with 1710 views | daveB | my groups had problem, the way it sems to work is if you have a kid with you under 21 then you can stay with the kid and one other. That's messed my group up as a mate goes with his 16 year old son, his 20 something year old son and his partner so has to choose between his eldest and his misses, not a great position to be in and pretty stupid of the club to have such a strong stance with no leeway. The upshot looks like my mate won't renew any of his or his kids tickets as he reckons if one can't go none of us go.

All my group (3 of us) were not able to renew in Lower Loft. They are impleting this also heard if anyone has renewed they will have to move them.Sorry if you have sold a season ticket to a supporter in LL that is the clubs problem.

Lower Loft Renewals... on 17:40 - Jun 3 by Lblock | Another conundrum on this scenario If I move to the lower loft with my 7 year old son this season then what happens next season or the one after when he doesn't qualify or if he decides half way through next season that a lifetime of grief is not for him? Do I then become one of the clubs nomadic fans? I sympathos with lowerloftgirl as I know a group of 9 who have watched together from there through thin and thinner. Now they are being split up and dispersed around the ground. A couple of them have decided to jack it in as the last straw reached after costs etc A very sad affair |
Lblock, you get one year and then you are turfed out if your son ceases to be an under 8.

Good point TGGGGGRS. Some have renewed with no issues, BUT. The club have stated that was an error and they are writing to those fans to ask them to move their seating. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Could not renew had to reserve seats in Ellerslie until after 30/6 and may be able to get something more suitable, three off us can't now sit together sitting four rows apart!

A fine and noble gesture, but who do we get to sit in the seats until your kids are old enough? If we get a new ground, that would be the time to have an exclusively family stand, not now.

Thats what I said last week about families in the paddocks and elsewhere. If the club are serious about this family stand, which it seems they are, then there should only be kids prices for the lower loft. It isn't the way I want it,but it will free up seats for the people moved from the LL,and it will mean that all the seats in the loft might be sold instead of rows of empty seats.

Well, it makes perfect sense to carry the whole thing through. Why kick people out of seats they've had for years to accomodate people you don't even know are coming!!! As you say, moving all kids there will at least free up seats for those being forcibly evicted.

Yes.It is the club that are forcing fans out of the family stand,so therefore all families should be in the family stand. That way it might allow groups of friends the chance to sit together in the vacant seats. To help those excluded from the paddocks, they should only be allowed to sit in the first 6 rows of the Loft,so that you can still rained on.
