Who was the guy who applied for the Newcastle United job many years ago with no qualifications whatsoever actually got the job, but was sacked about 12 games in.
Anyway I prefer to watch from the sidelines and to offer thoughts however banal through the good offices of this excellent board.
My vote has already gone to Wayne Brown with or without Doogie!

Aha, well said Gerry, an essential requirement which the previous incumbent always seemed to overlook. Bad move!
I have no preference because Mr Cowling's statement seems to hint at hard times ahead and maybe a 'smaller club' mindset for the foreseeable. Doesn't mean we can't be successful but he seems to be realistic about the potential for that. Management most likely from within his existing resource bank but you never know.
