Saddlers sack Sadler 16:40 - Mar 11 with 135 views

Probably no surprise to be honest, but after defeat at Salford last night, Walsall have sacked Mat Sadler. There were some who suggested he should have gone after last season's post-Xmas capitulation, but clearly the Chairman couldn't sit back and watch it happen two seasons running without doing something.

Seems a bit harsh to me. Over the course of his time there he seems to have done a pretty decent job. Appreciate they're on a bad run but can they really be expecting to be much higher? And they might yet make the play-offs. Be interesting to see who they bring in and how they do.
