Week 31 Results MANCHESTER UNITED 2 LIVERPOOL 1 Man Utd had just two shots on target in this match - both of which were scored by Marcus Rashford. The 5 who got this spot-on wont care about that, and another 4 had the outcome. HUDDERSFIELD 0 SWANSEA 0 Huddersfield failed to score for the 16th time in the league this season despite having 30 shots and being up against 10 men for 79 minutes. Nobody had this bore draw spot-on, though 6 did get the outcome. HULL 4 NORWICH 3 Hull fought back from 3-1 down to end Norwich's seven-match unbeaten run in a game featuring four penalties. Not surprisingly no 3 pointer for anybody here, but 6 did have the outcome. MILLWALL 1 BRENTFORD 0 Millwall get a lucky win with a goal after 51 seconds. There were 3 who had this spot-on, and a further 10 got the outcome. BLACKBURN 3 BLACKPOOL 0 Blackburn extended their unbeaten run to 16 matches with this comfortable victory. There were 4 who got this spot-on, and a further 12 had the outcome, with 9 going for a 3-1, in what was the weeks most predicted result. BURY 2 OLDHAM 2 Bury remain bottom of the League One table after local rivals Oldham came back from 2-0 down to earn a valuable draw. Just the 2 had this spot-on, and 2 also got the outcome. EXETER 1 CARLISLE 1 Carlisle fought back to get a point, and take their unbeaten run to 5. Only 2 got this spot-on, and 2 also had the outcome. There were 17 who predicted a win for Exeter. GRIMSBY 1 PORT VALE 1 Grimsby take their winless run to 15, and Port Vale take theirs to 10. So not surprising this game ended in a draw. There were 5 who had this spot-on, and 3 more got the outcome. MANSFIELD 1 COLCHESTER 1 It is now 12 games unbeaten at home in the league for Mansfield, as the U's make it 6 games without an away win. There were 3 who had this spot-on, and just 1 got the outcome. YEOVIL 0 NEWPORT 2 Newport bring an end to a winless run of 7 in the league with this victory. Nobody had this spot-on, though 6 did get the outcome. This week, was all about getting a 3 pointer to obtain a decent score. Of course that is usually the case, but with only 58 outcomes, the lowest in a 10 game week this season, it was more relevant this week. So it was a brilliant performance from Tropical_Us to get six outcomes to go with having the Man Utd 2-1 and the Mansfield 1-1 spot-on, to give him a seasons best top scoring 12 points. As I have reported in the past, the 1-1 draw has not hit its usual high heights this season. Despite that we had three in Week 27, and RSCOSWORTH predicted them all. We also had three again this week, and he repeated the feat, and with one outcome, he got an excellent 10 points. A total that was also achieved by Pinault_Noir, by having the Bury and Grimsby draws spot-on, and four outcomes. In the Premier Two more 3 pointers, the wins for Man Utd and Blackburn, moves thrillseeker to within eight of the mrhappy record for a season. They were required as noah4x4 also had two, the wins for Man Utd and Millwall, that enabled him to reduce the deficit by a point. Those good 1-1 picks from RSCOSWORTH cemented his Charity Shield spot, and moved him closer to delivering a title challenge of his own. Another very good week for gsy163 keeps his hopes of making the Charity Shield alive. That top scoring effort from Tropical_Us maintains the good second-half to the season he has had. Not enough to threaten the Charity Shield spots, but helped to insure his Premier status. A status that looked beyond saving for Sector4 two weeks ago, but after another decent week, including having the Man Utd 2-1 and the Grimsby 1-1 spot-on, the great escape is now most definitely on. In Division One A decent week for durham_exile, helped by having the Grimsby 1-1 spot-on, enabled him to increase his lead by a point. Though gerry_us wont mind that as he enhanced his own automatic promotion hopes, thanks to having the Mansfield 1-1 spot-on. Another solid week from eagledares moves him into third, as he takes advantage of TheHappyGooner struggling for the second week running. The excellent week for Pinault_Noir reignites his hopes of making the play-offs. Two spot-ons for wessex_exile, the Blackburn 3-0 and the Grimsby 1-1, as he shows some of his old form. But with only 54 games left to the season, it is a tall order for him to make the play-offs.
