Sensibly a cost cutting measure to avoid overnight stays. Remember the pools companies were resistant in such moves has it was reluctant in unrecognised clubs from the Conference having to replace Friday fixture. Does anyone still do the pools ?
I will be going to both Barrow and Tranmere for the 7:45 kick offs.
Friday night football has always divided opinion. Many people loved the old Friday night football at Layer Road. When I lived in Bocking then Friday games were not a problem.
Today for many of us Exiles it does present difficulties when travelling the longer distances.
In my case I favour the Saturday afternoons at the JSCS either travelling down on Saturday morning and then staying over and travelling back on Sunday.
Fridays can be a pain on the A1, A14, M11 etc and so I will need to pick the Home games carefully.
Still we are where we are!
