This is a brand new competition, that is separate from the Happy League. It is open to all Happy League members only. As the title suggests, it is a competition for midweek league games.
The format for the competition is for it to start as one league for all Happy League members, to run for 100 fixtures. Those fixtures will be made up of 10 weeks, with 10 games in each week. The first fixtures will be on Tueday 17th August, and the last ones are due to be on Tuesday 8th February. After 100 games the top 8 will then play in a knockout tournament.
The Quarter-Finals are due to be played on 22nd February, and the draw will be:-
(A) 1st v 8th
(B) 2nd v 7th
(C) 3rd v 6th
(D) 4th v 5th
The Semi-Finals are due to be played on 15th March, and the draw will be:-
Winner of game A v Winner of game D
Winner of game B v Winner of game C
The Final is due to be played on Easter Monday 18th April.
If Covid and/or bad weather intervenes, then there could be a change to the above dates, but I would still hope to be able to abide by the original format.
