Week 5 results HULL CITY 3 COVENTRY CITY 2 Oscar Estupinan scored a hat-trick as Hull moved up to third in the Championship with victory over bottom-of-the-table Coventry. Nobody got this spot-on, but 23 did have the outcome. WIGAN ATHLETIC 1 BURNLEY 5 Burnley thrash Wigan and record their first win in five Championship games. Not surprisingly nobody had this spot-on, though 14 did get the outcome. ACCRINGTON STANLEY 0 EXETER CITY 0 Accrington failed to score for the first time in a league game this season after this bore draw. Another game with no 3 pointer, but 6 did have the outcome. PORT VALE 0 PORTSMOUTH 1 On-loan Spurs striker Dane Scarlett hit a first-half winner as undefeated Portsmouth moved to the top of League 1. 4 had this spot-on, and a further 16 got the outcome. CARLISLE UNITED 1 GILLINGHAM 0 Struggling Gillingham are still searching for their first away point of the season (sounds familiar) following this latest defeat. An enormous 16 got this spot-on, in what was the weeks most predicted score, and a anoher 9 had the outcome. STOCKPORT COUNTY 1 SWINDON TOWN 1 Antoni Sarcevic's late equaliser earned 10-man Stockport a point against Swindon. 3 had this spot-on, and one more got the outcome. A week that started with no 3 pointers in the first three games, burst into life, with the final three games producing 23, mainly thanks to that incridible 16 from the Carlisle 1-0. That was a record for 3 pointers from one game in my time of administration. With only three games having a 3 pointer, five members did well to get two 3 pointers, with the best effort coming from bwildered, who had the Carlisle 1-0 and the Stockport 1-1, and three outcomes to make him the weeks top scorer with an excellent 9 points. Also getting those Carlisle and Stockport results spot-on was Daniel, and he had two outcomes, to give him a very decent 8 points. The other three members to get two 3 pointers were burnsieespana and medicine_man, who both had the 1-0 wins for Portsmouth and Carlisle, and Blue4U2, who got the Portsmouth 1-0 and the Stockport 1-1. They all got two outcomes, to also give them a very decent 8 points. Best of those to have one 3 pointer was durham_exile, who had the Carlisle 1-0 and four outcomes, to give him a decent 7 points. A special mention for blueeagle for getting five outcomes. The 0-0, 0-1 and 1-0 this week means those three results are locked together on 5 each, and they share the lead in the battle to be the seasons top result. Midweek League Cup A reminder that the second round of games are ready for predicting, with the deadline Tuesday 30th August 19 30. In the Premier A solid 6 points for thrillseeker, that included having the Portsmouth 1-0 spot-on, was enough to take him to the top. Only a point further back is ghughes11, who remains second, and mfb_cufc, who moves up a place to third, as they were two more who benefited from getting the Carlisle 1-0 spot-on. Three outcomes for the second week running, means the leader for the last three weeks, wessex_exile, drops to the final Super Cup spot, but still only two points from the top. The decent week for Daniel moved him up a couple of places, and just missing out on the top four due to the first to post rule. The only other member to move in an upward direction was concordman, who moved up a place, with his solid 6 points included having the Carlisle 1-0 spot-on. The final two in this league to get the Carlisle 1-0 spot-on were unitedwhites and RSCOSWORTH, and for the second week running it is the former that keeps the latter in the bottom three on the first to post rule. This division is starting to look very competitive, with only 8 points separating 1st to 11th. In Division One A solid 5 points, that included having the Carlisle 1-0 spot-on, keeps GOSBTS at the summit. Moving up a couple of places into the other automatic spot is sevebalo, as he was another to get the Carlisle 1-0 spot-on. He is showing intent on a instant return to the Premier, after his surprise relegation last season. Remaining third is Pinault_Noir, as he also had the Carlisle 1-0 spot-on. The top scoring performance from bwildered moved him up three places, and into the play-offs for the first time this season. The decent week for burnsieespana moved him up a place. Going 2-0 all games, instead of his usual 1-0, didn't work for MrHappy2, and he drops out of the top two for the first time this season, into the final play-off place. The decent week for medicine_man moved him up five places, and just outside the play-offs. The decent week for Blue4U2 moved him up three places as he continues his recent rise up the table. After another bad day at the office for the U's, it is probably little consolation for durham_exile that his decent week was enough to move him off the bottom.
