I have to say I can't understand someone who digs another poster out and then cries foul when they get something back. What do they expect is going to happen if you have a dig at someone who is just minding their own business, posting in their usual fashion? And it's not a case of disagreeing is it Bromley - you are usually coming on to have a pop at someone or other and Jigsore did in this thread - so hard cheddar if you don't like the response.
And on Top Gear, I don't watch it any more but used to find it funny.
cheers scotty, ive put up with half a dozen or so snide digs from jigsore, but let it go cause he's a young lad, if you dish it out in stoat fashion you'll get it back in the end.
as for bromley , he always emerges from behind the bike sheds in short trousers when someone has a dig at me, it his modus operandi..i actually went out of my way to praise his post on estranged fathers thread..how very sad.
still he can reek savage revenge when its my birthday in 6 months and he can down arrow it like last year . if only We wERE fighting the taliban with such weapons of mass destruction, the depleted uranium down arrow..
..wed all be home for easter signing good christain songs of ressurrection surrounded by young boys with no pants on and not an opium poppy in sight.
lets hope my dedication to him on you tube salves his aching heart. ust the sight of bromley in that red jump suit is enough to send any red blooded middle aged hetro sexual ray winstone look a like QPR/UKIP supporters blood up.
phwoarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Just looking at the story as its being reported, if you assault a colleague at work generally the outcome in most UK working places will being sacked and possibly even criminal charges.
Not sure that the rest of the hyperbole really matters.
Yep.
Puts the BBC in a tricky position as they desperately need him and the revenue TG brings in, but from a legal and perhaps moral standpoint are fcked if they keep him on.

Never liked Clarkson or that detestable pint sized wide eyed sidekick of his, but the old hairy one is OK when doing his own programmes. I liked Top Gear when it was a proper programme about cars, though I have little interest in them really. Just four wheeled tin cans that in theory get you from A to B.
Hate the current format and haven't seen it for ages. A bunch of 40/50 somethings presenting a programme in the style of sixth form school students. And 350 million worldwide watching it! Do they all enjoy it? If they do, 350 million people worldwide need to take a long look at themselves in a mirror and ask themselves a few serious questions.
There aint half been some clever bastards.

Top Gear is essentially the BBC's re-boot of Last Of The Summer Wine. Three old geezers, rattling around the countryside in a contraption of their own making, desperate to attract female attention, failing badly (usually by crashing in a hideously contrived set of circumstances) and all emerging no wiser from the experience. Everyone's mistake is to treat Jeremy Clarkson as a real person: he is Compo for the new millennium. Think about it - Clegg and Foggy? The sarcastic one and the stuffy one?
We're through the looking glass here, people...

I’m not at all into cars, so don’t often find myself watching Top Gear, but whenever I stumble across it, they seem to be moaning about caravans, destroying caravans or racing around in old cars and standing around laughing at each other when one of their cars breaks down. Do I just keep catching the same bits or is there more to it than that?
Jeremy Clarkson is the BBC’s John Terry — a source of repeated embarrassment, but until now treated with impunity owing to his commercial value to the channel.
The thing I possibly most dislike about the snide, sneering cu nts, is that they don’t even have the bolloc ks to stand by their snide, sneering gags; the “slope” on the bridge and most pathetically, the Falklands number plate, where the cowardly cu nts left their crew to run the gauntlet, whilst they were probably smuggled out on town in the back of a van.
And Stewart Lee is spot on with Richard Hammond — he’s a truly pathetic, arse-licking, mid-life-crisis-suffering cu nt, with his blow-dried hair and the sort of leather and gemstone necklaces you find on gap year students from Guildford.

It's amazing that people who hate the show and the presenters so much that they can describe every episode in lurid detail. It's like the old sixties and seventies horn rimmed glasses mob totting up the tits and bums to send to Mary Whitehouse."OOooooooohhhhhh Ivy,I had to force meself to watch it.....I counted 3 cocks and one bastard, although that could have been bedstead.."

Essentially you've got it. In fairness, the caravans and cars change, as do the locations. It's a sort of Sunday evening therapy for right-wing, mentally underdeveloped men and their sycophantic girlfriends / wives.
If you were actually thinking of buying a car on a sensible budget you would derive nothing of any use from the programme, which the BBC describe rather loosely as a 'motoring magazine'.
What's worrying is that an online petition has sprung up with 160,000+ signatures racing to the defence of 'Jezza' (clearly he can do no wrong). It would be interesting to see if someone starts a petition to keep him off the air - or have him deported to Argentina.
"Thank you for supporting Queens Park Rangers Steep Staircase"... and I thought I'd signed up for a rollercoaster.

100% correct in what you say - except where a lot of money is at stake.
Did Liverpool sack their main striker when he was proved guilty of biting someone in the workplace NO.
Did Chelsea sack JT when he was found guilty of racial abuse - NO
Any other business or situation they would be gone. I have a feeling Clarkson will survive simply due to money.
Sad, sad world we live in . . . . .

I might just stick you and the other usual suspects on the ignore list not a bad idea. Doom and gloom after every loss, the usual player bashing with oh so very clever pop culture references from 1980 whatever laced with the same boring political overtones straight from whatever red top was shoved through your letterbox that morning.
And the gifs. The hastily-googled barely relevant gifs. F*ck me
maybe one day I could hope to write posts of your quality but only once i've had a few shots of whatevers under my sink and slammed my head against a brick wall for a few hours
boring, boring, boring.
I couldn't disagree with you more Jigsore but nice to see a leftie give it back for once with a bit of spunk and not have to go running to Clive.
Regards the 'oh so clever pop culture references from 1980', made me laugh. I do cringe when it all goes a bit Tommy Saxondale on here. And i'm in me 50's.

Exactly. It goes down particularly well in Australia and the US. If the BBC sack him there'll be a bidding war from other companies to sign him up anyway. I have a horrible vision of a botoxed and even heavier Clarkson still doing the same thing in twenty years time.

i discovered a 'rising damp' re mix on sound cloud last night steve, brilliant it was!!
its a breakbeat /prog hybRid that when listened to in conjunction with staring at jigwhores play off final picture and ryhthmic wan king at approx 120 BPM, will have you chucking transgender muck higher than a frenzied chimp being shot to the kuiper belt by cccp cosmonaughts.

But then isn't that the same for every populist programme under the sun? I'd love to be a pound note behind whoever can keep these tired old series going well past their sell-by.I mean look at Hitler, never off our screens and somebody's raking in the royalties. In the end, class warfare irrelevancies included,we are all mugs.

Yep , quite funny how the usual suspects get their knickers in a twist over an old Tory boy who presents a Sunday tea time show driving fast cars who says the odd controversial thing , yes hang him indeed , I wonder if he was a labour boy he would get the same backlash, me thinks not Oh and if your happy to give it , don't start crying about having it back tenfold
And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot
That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles

FWIW I likes Top Gear. There I said it. I don't watch it to select what car to buy, in fact I don't even drive. It is indeed contrived, but I think that's obvious to the most simple-minded individual watching it. But I don't complain about my sitcoms or dramas being contrived. I enjoys 'em for their entertainment value to me. If you disagree and don't find it entertaining, no wuckaz, I've no beef with you.

So because you don't like it it's OK to say 350 million people need to take a look at themselves? I think there are programmes that you like that I don't do you need to take a hard look at yourself? If we all liked the same things it would be a bloody boring old world. Top Gear is an entertainment programme with cars that's all. If you actually met Clarkson (and I frequently have) you would see that he's playing a character. He's nothing like that in real life. I'm not defending him as he has stepped over the line but to say to someone that they need to look at themselves if they enjoy a TV programme is a bit steep IMO.
