How did Brendan Rodgers do at Reading? How did Mark Hughes do at QPR? You could go on and on with managers that fit certain clubs whilst not others.NW was a very good fit for us and we should never have got rid the 1st time,in fact if TF tango and cash were still at the club we'd be in a far better position than we are with the ultimate cock up artist. Btw no one does well at Leeds and Pardew has been dreadful at Palace recently. They're lucky that the bottom 3 are so shite or they'd be heading our way.

Never would have sacked NW first time around. Abysmal decision. But re-appointing him this season would have been an awful mistake.
a 67 year old who only wanted to work 2-3 days per week, for 8 weeks. Definitely not the man to build for a future that may take 5 years + to come to fruition.

The difference being that Leeds and Palace were his last two permanent managerial appointments after QPR. He's been on a steadily downward curve ever since he was sacked here.

Guardiola wouldn't improve Leeds and NW wasn't at Palace any longer than JFH has been at Rangers so by your way of thinking he's also on a downward curve.
i can't believe you're bigging up this cheat. The bloke suffered a career ending injury and is back to full fitness 3 days later? that's very fishy if you ask me.

Even Mark Lazarus's comeback wasn't as dramatic as that.

Fck he could pull a crowd and he did some miracles at times. I heard his old man was very hard on him. Angel of a mum though. Came out of nowhere really, someone said he used to be a carpenter, so a bit like Charlie really.
Talking of miracles...I don't know if anyone heard the discussion on 5 Live on Friday about Arsenal ('Wenger is holding Arsenal back'), but Martin Keown sounded quite reverential (religious even) when talking about Wenger:
'He decides when he goes, and we have to give him that...because he showed us the way.'
