| Who was the Emergency Keeper.. 08:27 - Dec 7 with 6479 views | Metallica_Hoop | We had on loan under Holloway? I thought it was Carl Ikeme but I think that was a different loan. I'm just curious as the match report made me recall. | |

| Who was the Emergency Keeper.. on 08:52 - Dec 7 with 4828 views | slmrstid | I reckon you're thinking of Phil Barnes who played 1 game at Leeds in 2005/06, which we lost 2-0 if I remember right. Was one of Holloway's final games in charge in his first spell, the famous "Queens Park Strangers" line. I remember Barnes playing for Blackpool in earlier seasons, though no idea where his career went before and after that. Not sure who we grabbed him on loan off for that one game either! | | | |

No that was a different game I think. I was at both and many other times at Elland Road too. All the miserable defeats there tend to blend into one. For that 5-1 game weren’t the players all a bit below par because Olly wasn’t there and the rumour was he was talking to another club. (Wasn’t the actual truth that he was just ill?)

And that was actually 6-1 with a Brian fkin Deane hat trick... Ainsworth actually scored first after a minute and it was all downhill after that. ASB had played York fans that morning, think we must have set off at 7am! Suffice to say it was a very long day.

Think we had 3 or 4 other loanees play Taylor left back Lowe center back and Marcin Kus big Dan had a Stormer to keep score down

The was a Baltic lad who we loaned to non league who got on our bench a couple of times. Remember him participating in a shoot out with the fans at HT and thinking it was a bit humiliating for him.

Elvijs Putnins, I forgot about him. I looked but cannot tell if he's playing for Lowestoft, Aylesbury or Great Yarmouth. [Post edited 8 Dec 2021 11:04]
