People should not rely on technology 100%
That means carrying money

Some people rely on cash, how are shoplifters and drug dealers supposed to earn a living.🤔

Why not?

I pretty much only use cash for car parks now.

Naughty boy.

It’s a boring day saved by the Golf though and I’ve been a bit poorly so it passes the time .
To have Builth,Winston and now you in tandem is all rather emotional. Like the PS old days.

No, it’s a genuine question. I’ve got a tenner in my car that’s been there a few months. Can’t remember the last time I used cash.

They don’t do cards

I took cash to Greece last month and just as well as several hostilities also were cash only .

Better to tip in cash too.

Cash for any company causes a problem...big problems. Someone has to look after this floating sum of money. So many issues...fraud. Even lack of change...think about it. It's an electronic age and cash will be obsolute. I still pay a lot by cash...and the looks I get.

That’s the other side of the same coin though. The guys point was they had to take cash as it was legal tender. So are card payments.

Honestly can’t think of anywhere round here you couldn’t buy lunch on a card. Maybe the odd chip shop or market stall.

I'll tell you something for nothing, if the tills went down on match day they would be happy to take cash.
That includes the concourse.

There would have to be an emergency cash float on every till, can't imagine many carrying exact amounts.

I've seen the tills go down in places and they start with correct money only.

Swans fans have a history of hostilities in Greek bars. The heroic retreat from Panathanikos is still remembered by many.

Yes, I just don’t care. The illuminati have bigger things to worry about than my spending history. You’d have to be pretty paranoid to avoid using cards to stop NatWest knowing where you’ve been.

It’s not as if your mobile phone provider doesn’t already have that information.

You don't need cash in mst car parks anymore.

I rely on my card far too much.

If I drop a tenner I lose a tenner. If I drop my card I could lose a few hundred before I cancel it. Just as well I don't get drunk anymore.

You still do at Oxwich and Llangenith 🤦🏼‍♂️. In fairness, some taxis as well. It’s become less and less necessary though.

It’s a fair point about losing your card. You’ll invariably get your money back, but it is a ballache.

Lets all dispose of our coins and notes and conform to those who want to control us are, free country my arse and I'm no conspiracy theorist tw@t either, but can't people see where we are going?

Control, control, control I'm amazed that people with "intelligence" can't see it,.

Cash is King and always should be, even though I've rarely got a quid in my Wallet cause Mrs Max always dips into to it at will, even though I try my best to hide it, I've tried to find a tracker on it, but I've come to the conclusion that she just has the nose to sniff out the cash

I think paying by app is going to be the norm soon enough, no card or cash needed.

That's fine as long as the ap works. I used to use the NCP app and sometimes it just would not work or charged me too much. Though using their app is generally cheaper, a lot cheaper in City Gates!

To be honest, I think those with ‘intelligence’ realise that no one who is trying to ‘control us’ cares which supermarket we prefer. The paranoia around this fascinates me.

Cash hasn’t been king for a long time. I doubt many of us have any significant amounts of it lying about anymore.

My MOT example is instructive To the trading community a cash deal is one that does not include VAT and tax to pay for the NHS and pensions. Receipts are these days not given automatically.

Card deals are better for everyone as it means the provider has a record for tax purposes and obliged to follow the law. VAT taxing means increased Government revenues and the possibility paying off national debt and reducing mandatory income tax. It is a tax on the rich because the rich spend more on non essential items. Financially stretched people can pay less tax buy going to Lidl not Sainsburys. It is a choice up to a point.

Have to say that if the powers that be are that desperate that they need to know everywhere I go in my mundane life they can put a tracker on me.
Where I spend my money will excite them as much as a walk with the dog in torrential rain does me
