Reckon he's a sensitive soul and maybe still a bit p1ssed with sections of the fans he lost, when tactics playing at the back under pressure; cost us goals. The boo-boys on social media were out in force when he praised the fans for their dogged support. I noticed he changed dugouts a few games back, Hilly did the same to avoid the noise of snipers behind him.

Thought Hilly did it to stop the away team's management from chirping in the liner's ear? Would think Jim has done it for the same reason.

Mr glum... on 08:47 - Mar 17 with 8514 views | DaleiLama | I only listened to the first half of it, as management speak can get a bit repetitive, but he came across as businesslike with a job well done manner to me. His demeanour is a positive in my book, as bad results are less likely to cause panic under that type of leadership. To borrow one of his clichés - focus on the process and the results will come. As opposed to BBM where there was only a process. We need to become more flexible and adaptable playing against different styles, but BJ has done better, with arguably less, than the more experienced Stockdale and the vastly more experienced EBJ. If we have an off season it will be an interesting one.

Mr glum... on 09:00 - Mar 17 with 8459 views | isitme | At the Fans' Forum Jim mentioned that due to his late appointment and uncertainty over the budget that he was behind in terms of recruitment and missed out on a number of targets. He has also been saddled with higher earning players who were still under contract which took up a chunk of the wage budget. I think we have Nevett, East, Gilmour, Mitchell and Jez under contract for next season which allows scope for change. A lot will depend on what budget is available, but with Chesterfield going up and two more financially challenged teams likely to come down we may have a better chance at promotion next year, but things need to settle down off the pitch and we need some managerial stability.

This weekend with have Brooks and Nevett on International duty, Oscar Kelly has also been called for Northern Ireland U-17 squad, could we apply the three international ruling this weekend?
Mr glum... on 19:18 - Mar 18 with 6325 views | EllDale | You could make a strong case for doing so but Oscar Kelly couldn’t get anywhere near a game when we were struggling and the coach even registered himself as a player. Has he even got a squad number?
Mr glum... on 19:27 - Mar 18 with 6282 views | D_Alien | Why on earth would we want to have the fixture cancelled, just as we're re-gaining some momentum? The last time we had a "rest" it set us back for the next month

So just go long every time then? If people are going to dislike the way a team plays, can we at least be consistent about it?

Mr glum... on 20:34 - Mar 18 with 6082 views | NorthernDale | The team, when it plays on the front foot as the potential to beat anyone, as shown at Eastleigh, but sadly sometimes the football can be slow and pedestrian and allow mistakes to be made by the passing sideways. Which as a fan can be frustrating, I agree it can be difficult to get a perfect balance between the two styles of play. This weekend, I can see Sassi or Taylor come in for Nevett or even either Keohane or John operating in the centre defence, but can we get a keeper in for just one game or will other clubs expect at least a few games on loan. One potential positive, is that hopefully Mather will be available on Saturday, apparently he had a dead leg last weekend.

Agreed, we should look to mix up the way we play which, as seen by the goals at Eastleigh, is our most effective way of playing. More options, better results.

I do think Little Jim can spot a player and develop players. If he is given another season, he will add quality to the squad and improve it. I just wish he stopped talking like Tony Blair on acid and was more tactically adaptable. good results lately, not watching but will start again in the fall.
