1. Never really liked going to Chelsea, it seems like a club with no heart in the community where the stadium is, I doubt that many Chelsea fans live near Stamford Bridge.
2. The away section has a great view from the upper tier, but the facilities are cramped and poor.
3. Fair play to the 3,000 Saints fans who turned out, great support
4. London prices are criminal, I can understand why you can charge £7 for a pint in central London, but not in the suburbs
5.Don't get me started on South Western Trains

I've always disliked Chelsea. When I meet people and we get talking about who we support, I always struggle when they say Chelsea. It's like for me supporting Chelsea is a bit odd and not like supporting a proper football team.
It's completely irrational and I don't know where it comes from but it's real enough.
When I was a young teenager, all the glory hunting kids at school supported Leeds or Chelsea.
Got their comeuppance when the school decided that the sports teams colours would be decided by a vote. I was part of a group led by the senior pupils who successfully got red voted in as the choice.
Never really liked Chelsea and especially as I can probably count on one hand the times I've seen us beat them.

I didn't go, mainly as the "train" was scheduled to be a bus back from Southampton to Bournemouth after the game, far too painful for a likely thrashing.

What happened on the trains, Nick?
In simple terms after the 10.13 from Clapham, the trains after were replacement bus services from Winchester to Southampton, but there was no connecting service from Southampton to Totton till 1.45 am.
So we went for the 10.13 that got back to Totton at 11.45, so choice was those two times.
I could have got back to Southampton for 12.35 but had to wait another hour for Totton train or fork out £25 on a taxi home.

So you got back to Totton at 11.45??
That's OK, isn't it?
Not as if it meant missing anything meaningful on the pitch......
1. Was weirdly quiet last night, no problems getting served, no issues getting tubes and the usual queue at Fulham Broadway to get to the ground wasn't even there
2. The first 10-20mins I actually didn't think we looked terrible, but the minute the goal went in it was all over and we completely collapsed
3. Decent turn out but my god are some of our fans idiots. Had a bloke next to us last night who was screaming that we should've sold Dibling in january becaue he's sh*t
4. London prices are fine if you drink in the right place, we drunk in the pub opposite to where you did and paid just over a fiver a pint
5. getting out and home was a piece of p*ss, mind you it does help when you leave the ground on 44mins because the 3-0 rule has kicked in

awful club, fans so dull, area is the same, soulless, always has been beer in London is £7 everywhere easy to get home tho
We were sh1te again the starting eleven was a joke as were the tactics
Beer in london is definitely not £7 everywhere, my local is £3.80 for an ale, £4.50 for a "premium" lager.
West London and central is much more expensive than South, East and North, and even in the same borough the price of a pint will change a lot depending on where you drink

Yes it was ok getting home at that time, but if we had been in the game I would have stayed and got home about 2.15 by the time I walked from the station

If pubs can do a Premium Lager for £4.50 then it is just pure greed charging upwards of £7

Aye. I would have been on a bus to Bournemouth and probably home about an hour later.
Guess I could have driven to Basingrad and got a train to and from there to London, as I tend to do for gigs up there.
But watching Saints without a few drinks is impossible at the moment….

1. We went to Spoons at Putney £2.49 a pint for decent real ale thanks to 50p off Camra Voucher, lovely setting on banks of Thames
2. Left pub 7.30, got tube in ground before 8
3. We were decent first 15 mins, but it was all over after first goal despite Chelsea not poor imo
4. Great support once again despite the usual poor performance on pitch
5. As 3-0 down at half time decided to get 10.27 back from Clapham to Salisbury so left after 65mins, so home by Midnight
