Dear god. Grown men ( presumably ) repeating the same old boring nonsense about a former manager who is a thoroughly decent fella. It’s a short life chaps. Certainly not worth spending most of it posting rubbish on a football forum about someone that you don’t know. I can’t understand it. He worked hard at our club and did his best. We had some good times when he was here at Swansea and some not so good. It hasn’t worked out at Rangers and he’s lost his job. It’s football. Get a life chaps. It’s too trivial to be concerned about.

There is of course nothing wrong on commenting on football matters but this particular individual for some people creates an imbalance in their viewpoint. Everyone can accept one or two posts regards their thoughts on him, but they are rarely put across in a way that actually prompts discussion.
I can perfectly understand why an ex manager causes such friction, he did at Southampton but some are now are saying they should have stuck with him. In their case and indeed at Swansea will we never know.
I like this guy, he is a real asset to fan content in Scotland.
Worth a viewing.
A great believer in taking anything you like to wherever you want to.
If you can’t succeed at Rangers you can’t succeed anywhere. Their budget is massive compared to every other team in the league bar one. Even TNS would probably finish in the top half up there.
There can be no excuse for this one.
Compared to the rest of the SPL yes, but despite being one of the World's biggest clubs in terms of support they've been financial minnows compared to many La Liga/Prem/Serie A etc. up until the recent takeover. I can't see the 49ers folk throwing more cash at the problem after RM's purchases made a bang average side less competitive.
They should never have sacked van Bronckhorst - did well to get them to the CL Group stages where they were pumped six times clearly showing the gulf in the class of players and their limitations as a team to compete at that level.
It's poisoned chalice for whoever comes in as Ibrox is a pressure cooker that demands success and 100% application at all times and many of the current players don't respond well to it - they are now a squad of 5 manager's picks, square pegs in round holes. Hell of a job dragging that lot into a mentality and disciplined functioning team that can challenge Celtic and compete in Europe.

And life means passion Many lead mundane , percunious lives and look to their football team for a little relief and joy Those in charge as guardians of the club and holds our dreams on their hands” Tried his best” doesn’t wash It’s a trite meaningless term We want THE best not somebody’s best This individual had and has a Svengali hold on some of our fans , the like of which no previous one has it is beyond incredible And his name pops up as his tenure was significant in all the wrong ways Im a lovely , gentle, kind knowledgable chap but I would not me as a manager

And a rather divisive chap He will be ok and I doubt he’s not bothered about what folk of him as he counts his bank balance The only good thing here is it’s Rangers
Now reportedly considering taking legal action against Rangers for breach of contract.
Genuine LOL.
Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Ive been following Sam on YT for a few years now. Excellent channel. We could do with someone similarly enthused here for Welsh football.

One of my sons has a mate who’s a sports journo down on the South Coast, he’s had dealings with Russel Martin and reckons he’s a really tidy guy.
Easy to be tidy to someone you might need a favour off at some point in the future. Russy seems the type to keep a few journalists close for spin control.

Im unsure anyone will take your continued comments about him, his character and your perception on who you think he is as nothing more than somewhat piffling. I think there is an award in the offing here, ‘how to say the same thing 500 times over a two year time span’ 😂
Positivity could help 😉
A great believer in taking anything you like to wherever you want to.
Wayne Rooney interviewed on Talk Sport today reckoned that Russ was an excellent manager and coach and will easily find another managers job at another club.

Keith Beautifully put , however … This topic was about Russell Martin and I comment as others have Others comment on mattets 1000s of times over the years I’ve read them I see repeated personal attacks go unchallenged and I longer challenge them so as not to drag this site down to a spat People feel strongly about some subjects and opine accordingly Finally, it’s not a matter of positivity in any way shape or form That word is the most misused in the English language but that’s just my opinion Anyway, enjoy your day and remember it’s a Swans free week

Russell Martin makes Rooney look slightly competent.
