Nice to see the attendance over 3000 yesterday, I don’t know if it was the exiles or we genuinely had quite a few new faces/fans yesterday.
Good three points, praying we keep on form, and injuries don’t impact.
Hoping York drop points, but feel we’ve got the harder run.

Winning football matches increases attendances so we have that in our locker!!

3000 plus home fans was very encouraging the question really is how do we push on towards 4000?

An extra 750 + doesn’t seem like too daunting a target?

Targeting season ticket numbers is key to increasing overalll attendance. And this phonomenal season wherever we end up, should see a massive increase. Especially with the younger guys as the popularity of u block grows rapidly. It creates so much energy matchdays, weve not had noise loke this for years for obvious reasons.. I say move the block to behind the goals, to suck that ball into the oppostions net. Build on the great work by the new owners and team

Moving them would cause too many issues as there are a lot of existing season ticket holders in the middle of the Pearl St. There was a lot of space in U Block which encouraged them to move in the first place, and I doubt they’d want to move now anyway!

Noticed York fans bemoaning the atmosphere at their game yesterday. All of a sudden we have a ground that has a real bit of noise attached.

Anecdotally there does seem to be a few different faces and many of these have been attending more often. The U block Ultras have done a great job but leave them where they are. There is scope for more of them in that area.

Too many logistical issues moving to W, espcially as I do not want to lose my seat!

With the increased numbers yesterday (over 3000 Daleys) there was also a combination of common sense stewarding..

I didn’t notice a wand!! And generally received a smile and an enjoy the game comment.

Much more alligned with where we want to be as a family club.

They were still wanding and vigorously searching people going in through the Pearl Street turnstiles closest to the Main Stand. Admittedly, they eased off once the queues started forming, but watching from afar it was ridiculous and totally unnecessary, especially given the profile of the fans they were doing it to.

Contrast this with Aldershot last week where everyone was waved in with a smile and nothing else.

Let's be fair, though, the stewards are only operating to instructions from above. We were told and warned about increased searches, etc, at the Carlisle and Scunthorpe games, which is understandable to an extent, but it has continued against the likes of Forest Green, Brackley, Woking and Boston, and with little consistency in application.

That’s disappointing (above)

It’s still a big if… but 5 points clear going into Saturday should see the people of Rochdale out again in good numbers.

We are playing Tamworth so regarding the stewarding for this game should be as low key and friendly as they want it to be.. overzealous stewarding really will not be required.

Further to that, no searches at all yesterday, and just all round general bonhomie.

& I see little need for the over zealous approach of our stewards for either Tamworth or Wealdstone. We could actually look at reducing their numbers for those games to save money. Don’t envisage any issues with Morecambe either, we have no history of trouble with them.
York’s obviously a different matter.

The Hampton by Hilton hotel on Baillie Street in the town centre is already fully booked by York Fans for the final game. Spotland will be bouncing.......

Just did a search and they still have rooms available well if you book Friday and Saturday. I wonder if York fans think they will be rubbing Dale fans noses in their promotion at Spotland.

Why would so many York fans want to stay at a hotel in Rochdale when they can potentially be back in their own city, among their own kind, if you like, in less than 90 minutes?

Or why would they come Friday night for what's a relatively short journey compared to others in the NL?

Sounds like nonsense to me.

EDIT: Not a reply to you, James.

Yes thank you yeah came with a mate to the game. Came up last weekend for exiles day which was very enjoyable. I'm working Tuesday so won't make Southend but I will hopefully be able to follow it online between trains.

Hardly likely.
