Like Hooper, if Parker has an option in the Prem, i can't see any reason why he wouldn't take it?
Especially if it's Fulham or Palace so he doesn't even have to move.

I really cannot see any player who has England world cup ambitions coming to us this year. Its the same in any world cup year, players dont want to drop a league.

Sorry,don't agree.More chance of being picked as a regular first teamer in a successful lower side than an unfavoured Prem bench warmer.Never hindered Mickey Channon playing in the second tier.

There is no chance of being picked from the championship. However he might start as a bench warmer, but a good run of games and good form should the opportunity arise could see a recall. Sky article doesn't really add much to what we already know. Apparently, there are reports that he has undergone a medical at QPR and that Palace and Fulham are also in the race to sign him, which we already knew.
Currie dropped down a division and was terrific for us. Mind you, Venables had a lot more young players in the squad to balance things out -- Allen, Goddard, Waddock, etc. [Post edited 14 Aug 2013 15:27]

Did Raheem Sterling really merit a call up ahead of say Nathan Dyer or Wayne Routledge on form last season?
Zaha got picked for the squad purely by joining Man Utd without even playing for them yet!
The likes of Ricky Lambert will get the odd cap, but he'll be ditched for Carroll and Sturridge the moment they are fit unless he scores a hattrick or something. | | | |

And they often play better for the smaller clubs than the big clubs. Cahill was far better at Bolton than Chelsea in my opinion. Scott Parker was immense at Charlton but disappeared at Chelsea. Carrick doesn't do much at Utd in my opinion but was superb at Spurs. | |
