Aye, 58-45. Never got over it.

When I was your age, I used to enjoy the odd game of tennis. Or was it golf?

1. Gilks's girlfriend babysat my kids
2. Used to share Saturday lunchtime potato pie, at my Grans, with Steve Melledew and Eughan Riley.
3.Our Bass player told Morrissey that we would not be going on his Manchester Musicians collective Album. We were not getting involved with that "poncey useless prick, he can f**k right off"
4. My "Warhol" 15 minutes of fame was cancelled. A TV piece I had done(with Fred the weatherman) was replaced due to the death of Les Dawson.

Big Dave - would you know if Will Hay's brother was headmaster at Bacup' and Rawtenstall Grammer back in the 30's? An old dear told me Will was a frequent visitor to Waterfoot as a result. This could be Waterfoot's tenuous claim to fame.

I'm afraid I don't pal. I've never heard of that and It's never been mentioned to me by anyone in my family. I'll ask my gran.

Isn't your Uncle Steve Kindon, the former Burnley player BK?

Apparently, I'm related very distantly to the founder of the IRA!

Possibly distant cousins of the non kissing type. Imperial Russian Ale, Yummy!

Bloody Hell, BK is old enough to be Steve Kindons' Grandad !!

Methuselah is my second name. His mother's name was Edna as was my Mum's. He lived to 969 years old so I have a chance of seeing Dale win an FA Cup Final. 899 years still to go and the clock is ticking.

With respect that is hardly an ass-kicking. Pretty low score. Is that when they had 5 letter words and it was broadcast in black and white?

Was slapped across the face by Anna Friel in home economics at Shawfield as a kid. I strongly suspect I deserved it though....

She wasn't the Headmaster either as I've not seen her picture on the wall. I'll look tomorrow though.

I once spent the evening, around Christmas time, drinking with Anna Friel. We were in the Hare and Hounds, then the Winston. Asked her for a Christmas kiss later on, and she was very obliging, slipped the tongue in. I saw her a couple of years later, in La Dolce Vita with David Thewlis. I looked her way, but she didn't remember me. :-(

What's a black and white broadcast?

It was only on for half-hour in those days.

It's the negative for a white and black broadcast.

Lived with ex England cricketer Peter Lever and his missus for 2 week down in Cornwall whilst I built an extension on his house, he says he mentions me in his after dinner speeches over something that happened in my time there.

This summer had a game of snooker with Steve Davis and played roulette with Ally Mcinally, John Parrott and Peter Reid.

Last month was stuck in a tiny room with Terry Christian for 2 hours, had his life story, that guy doesn't shut up!

I once got the train back from a Dale match at Scarborough, and ended up sat next to Brian Blessed, Frank Windsor and Stratford Johns.

I've also given financial advice to Cyril Smith and ended up terminating the phone call because he was so abusive and insulting.

No. They were on their way back from a Z Cars do and were drunk. They were a bit rowdy so nobody was bothering with them.

I met Bobby Charlton and his wife at Spotland many years ago when I worked there - no idea why he was there or who we were playing. Spent a few minutes chatting to them, what a lovely couple and he is a perfect gent. Met Graham Souness in a restaurant in Stockport, Kenny Dalglish at Manchester Airport and the one an only legendary Geoff Hurst at Butterworths Sports Shop when I was a kid. Went to school with Lisa Stansfield and still in touch with her. Oh and my Great Grandmother always used to tell me we are related to Gracie Fields but I have yet to investigate that one.

About 14/15 years ago, had a few away days with David Kilpatrick and met Steve Davis in the board room at Leyton Orient, and Peter Shilton was in a box with us at Hartlepool. Both true gents.
