This event doesn't usually bother me greatly but it's been an outstanding year for British sport and there is a bumper crop of contenders.
I can't see a winner beyond Bradley Wiggins or Andy Murray. As well as winning Olympic gold both won major world events. Wiggins is also the most decorated British Olympian of all time with 7 medals, same as Sir Chris Hoy.
Following a far from scientific decision making process I'd give it to Wiggins on the basis I like cycling but not tennis and Andy Murray still does a very annoying impression of a surly teenager.
That assumes Col U fans don't rig the vote to ensure Mr Cowling wins for sacking Ward! |  |
