Big fan of both Dave and AKUTRs.
During the prem years (2nd and 3rd time round) I used to have a chuckle at the JCLs who pushed passed Dave to grab an official program. They seem to have dissipated now. Anyway, they never knew what they were missing.
AKUTRs and LFW (including Enoch Powell's children, and the Neil Warnock groupie) are the only sources of QPR musings I use.

Dave had the good grace to publish a 50th birthday wish from my family to me in the last edition. Always buy a copy and sometimes don't get round to reading them all, but they are all kept. Will always continue to buy a copy and support Dave in his efforts. Spoke to Dave last week whilst in the box office renewing season tickets and said about next year being 30 years, he said the club we're going to offer him a half price season ticket as a tribute, (actually it will be his over 60's concession!) | |

The club did a few issues of an 'official' fanzine around the early 90's. Didn't last long. I've got a copy somewhere.

I agree with all the comments on here.I sorted out my boxes of programmes last summer and I must have every copy of AKUTR's still.
I always make sure I get my copy from Julie outside the loft.

Back in the old days i would always buy a copy and it was a great read after the game on the train home. As times have moved on, i don't buy it anymore as most of the news is out of date. I always buy it and still find it a great read. It may not have the immediacy of the Internet but I really enjoy the considered articles and regular delves into our history that bring back good or even bad memories. "They shamed the Hoops" being a great example of the latter. I 've occasionally contributed to the Vox Pop features that Dave includes in some editions and must try to produce a longer piece for his consideration at some point soon.
It's a fantastic achievement by Dave & all involved in it's production to keep it going for 30 years. Long may it continue! |  | | |

Always get a AKUTRS when I go to HQ , more for nostalgia because I find this MB a better source of information with better views
back in the day when it was pre internet that and In the Loft was a must buy , used to be some great articles and views and in the early days it was a source of transfer rumours as well
hopefully Dave keeps it going it must be a real labour of love and a drain at times
but in the early 90's it was the only thing that kept us fans ITK with our beloved football club |  |

I do feel guilty that I stroll past adage now without buying it; I always used to.
I wrote a letter to my article for it after the Barnsley cup game which featured THAT goal by Tricky Trevor. My article focused on Andy Impey and his sending off and defended him in response to others giving him stick. I sent it in under a psdeuo name and it got published so I found it interesting seeing my mates reactions to it as we all read our new copies in The White Hart.

I always buy it. Sometimes the content can be a bit hit and miss and a touch repetitive, however as others have said we are lucky to have it and if we don't buy it then ultimately it will fail. The challenges of print media are well rehearsed, a few quid for AKUTRs is a small price to pay to keep it alive.
Besides that when you see Dave standing outside some Northern ground, on a cold, miserable winter's night where all too often Rangers will have capitulated in traditional fashion, it seems harsh not to buy it. |  | | |

30 years? That really is some achievement.
Like many others, purely down to the internet, I'd stopped buying in recent times.. Fantastically well written fanzine, some real joy in reading it through what were many barren years for the club.

I always buy, but often don't get round to reading all of it! It looks as if I will have two issues to buy on Saturday (illness permitting) as a little thing called Pleurisy made me miss the Charlton game!
I have had the good fortune for Dave to print some articles from me in the past & I drink pre match with their "new" columnist in Roller.
AKUTRs is rather special in our world of football.
