I wouldn't say its so bad... he can play LW,RW and AM.... and even with injury that stopped his form... he was able to score 5 goals. I would say go for it... We need a winger and it would give us alot more money to buy 1 or 2 more players (like a RB or CB or Another midfielder)

Even Chadli coming in alone would make us better in creativity and style of play, when playing him where Siggy played for us.
But he won't be the only addition to bolster our attacking play. |

Well I have. Let's be honest, very few Swans fans watch Las Palmas regularly. I'd guess more or less everyone talking up Viera, Boudebouz or Mesa is doing it off the back of edited highlights.
I have seen enough of Chadli to form the opinion that he would be an upgrade on any of our wingers, but wouldn't be a great option as a #10. There will be better, realistic targets out there, whether that's Viera or not.
Just to be clear, I'm not saying Viera is the player (though I admit to being impressed by the YouTube clips), I'm saying Chadli isn't.

I'm not getting the Chadli being a Siggy replacement at the #10 position? He hasn't been playing there for us, and the reason being he was like a complete minge when he was there last season (You're only as good as your last season).
We are desperate for a number 10, Fer was our best player there last season IMO. Will we bring a specialist 10 in? I've no idea, i hope to f*ck we do, but wouldn't surprise me if we didn't to be honest.
What do i think of Viera? I've not seen him play and i'll be f*cked if i'm going to get excited over his youtube clips on here, whether they're individual clips or full games, every player has a few outstanding games now and then. Can he do it on wet Tuesday in Stoke.... |  |

I haven't forgot the assists, but most of them came set pieces that he and only he took. Same with the majority of goals he scored coming from free kicks and penalties that only he took. People seem to think that no other player in the team can take free kicks, corners and penalties. Yes we may lose a few assists and goals from his wonderful set piece deliveries but I personally believe if we had a better player with the ball at his feet in open play we'd score a lot more as a team. | | | |

I more meant what are your views on the situation in general. Seems you broadly agree with me that we need a #10 and Chadli is probably not that man.
As for Viera, I agree with you, I haven't seen him play live and to be fair you could probably make a half decent montage of Montero if you went back a few years.
If we are discounting things like that though, we are looking at players we have seen live. Given the cost of PL players and the fact that most players at those clubs wouldn't come here unless they weren't getting games, we would be fishing in a relatively shallow pool. It's up to the club to scout players, all most of us can really do is look at them after that,
