Take the point as we were second best most of the game. Great performances by Dieng and Dickie in particular but thought centre mid, Uncle and Dykes were poor tonight.
Special mention for the Sky commentators who were awful with their tangerine tinted glasses: hopeless.

Blackpool manager on Sky whinging about Dieng not being sent off. Let me get my tiny violin out.

Just back from a 3 day birthday bender and checked the result... Mentally I'm pitched somewhere between HAL 9000 and Sir john Mills Village idiot in Ryans Daughter but gut reaction is i''m happy with the draw.

I'll watch the full game in the morning while mainlining paracetomol into my long vein and throwing up into my winston churchill toby jug.

Viva Supahoopsa!

This: The season panning out pretty much as well as we dared hope. Fulham and Bournemouth head and shoulders above the rest. We dared to hope with our summer acquisitions that we would be in with a sniff of sixth and so far they have delivered while giving us loads of entertainment along the way. Well done my team

Coventry the only surprise to me at the moment.

Poll: Thank God The Seaons Over.

Whilst the Sunderland disallowed goal cost us £500K according to Chair on a Podcast, the swings and roundabouts gave us a point tonight after the "totally incompetent" lino thought their player touched it before it went over the line - which it clearer didn't - so we have to let the Sunderland mistake go now (ok it was £500K).

We have not been playing great of late but we are either getting a scrappy win or an away point and we are sitting in the top six and we will get stronger come Jan once we have the key injured players back such as Wallace and Field.

Sitting not pretty in 6th - happy days!

Two away games & we move up from 11th place to 6th without playing anywhere near our best.

It was an excellent touch from Kakay that Dieng clawed away. Without that Blackpool have an open goal. The move to a back four at half time didn't help us.

Me too. They were very good at our place, but a bit goal shy. I thought they would fade. Fair play to them.

Did I ever mention that I was in Minder?

I agree. Picking up points even when we aren’t playing well is the sign of a good side. Plenty to be optimistic about with key players on their way back.

Poll: Where will we finish up next season?

I think anyone of us would have taken 4 points from the 2 away games and the fact we got them with poor performances but two excellent goals makes it a bit better.

Shouldn't have gone for goal at all. Just zip it low and hard across the box and the two lads waiting for a tap in. I thought he was poor tonight, just knackered. He has gone from getting 20 minutes here and there to suddenly playing twice a week. International break should recharge him hopefully

Let’s hope you’re right. He definitely needs a break. Big question is whether Adomah can maintain his level of performance over the past few weeks.

You knew the Blackpool manager was going to press our back 3 2nd half. We then launched balls forward even out of play. Isn’t attacking football also played through the 3rds.

Warburton shaking his head at times. He knows

Fortunate there, absolutely horrendous decision to disallow their goal, so we have sunderland payback as others have said. Mostly second best but weirdly I kept fancying us to get a winner, and in fact we probably should have done, with 2 great chances at the end.
But, 6th going into the break. Hopefully get some players back and I'll take that.

Bare bones.

Haven't played well in last two games, yet 4 points gained.

I'll take it.

And we've tightened up a lot. Just one goal conceded from play in the last 4 games and that a unfortunate deflection, while still maintaining our remarkable goalscoring run.

Four points from two difficult away games and not playing particularly well is very good plus unbeaten in 3 games. Good to have a break now, re-group and push on with a run of home games to come. The only problem is after the previous two international breaks we have struggled to get going, although they were tough away fixtures, so improvement needed on the two home return fixtures.

Different competitions so no payback. We may have still got one point if the goal had not been disallowed. Definitely lost out on a financially lucrative quarter final tie

Yeh that touch took it away a bit too much so got under the ball instead of over it.

It may not have been correct but horrendous is harsh. He attempted to play the ball before it crossed the line, whilst standing in an offside position and it was extremely difficult for the officials, with one view, to spot that actual point of contact.

Also confusing in that offsides sometimes are given when a player moves towards a ball which I thought was the rule although isn't in the current law 11.

Moving on the penalty call against Odubajo, was imho correct, the opponent cuts back into Moses and grabs him. Seen them given though!

If their actual penalty was correct, and it most probably was, then the foul on Dykes was very similar and should also have been one.

Their manager lost a bit of respect with his whinging. Definitely not a red card for Seny.

Bit harsh maybe.
Agree with you on the pens. On TV Goodman was saying Seny should have been sent off, but the Blackpool defender did exactly the same thing to Dykes, arguably worse as it was a very deliberate arm from behind whereas Seny was more level and may have got their first, and he said no chance it was a pen. Weirdly, I sort of agree. Ref will always give that one against a keeper, but rarely the same against a defender. Not a red, as Seny might have got their first and also he went down very easily, but no arguments it was a pen.

Bare bones.

I thought the ball had crossed the line before Madine touched it, BUT goalline technology is used in The Championship. If it had totally crossed the line, the referee should have recived a signal to that effect.

My assumption is that the ref consulted his assistant because the technology had not indicated crossing the line until Madine touched it & asked if he was offside. Yes, he was, with that scenario.

What is certain is that madine shouldn't have robbed his team mate of the goal!
