Welsh Tourism 10:58 - Jul 17 with 48878 views | Dr_Winston | https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2023/jul/16/huge-market-untapped-lack-of-vis Already on its knees in recent years thanks to the Welsh Govts unnecessarily heavy Covid restrictions, refusal to deal with M4 congestion and seeming intention to actually make getting around in Wales even harder. To top that off we've still got the mooted tourist tax to come. Is there anything in this country that they can't screw up?

Welsh Tourism on 19:12 - Jul 17 by Dr_Winston | In Wales, the interest in public transport begins and ends in Cardiff. This is the primary problem here. If the Welsh Government actually gave a shite about anything outside the CF postcode area, then perhaps they wouldn't be making such a mess of the job. They couldn't care less about the Tourist economy because what the hell is there in Cardiff to interest tourists? As long as people find it easy to move around Cardiff , soon to be easier when millions are gubbed away on the Cardiff Metro, (mockingly called the "South Wales Metro when 95% of it is in Cardiff) then nowhere else matters. People in Cardiff already had an emergency medical centre within an hours flight in Bristol. So where did they decide to site one for Wales? Cardiff. People will die, probably already have as a result of that decision. Their jobs and the City that is leaching life and money from the rest of Wales are secure. Everyone else can f*ck off, especially because hundreds of thousands of cretins who don't live in those areas will still vote for them anyway. [Post edited 17 Jul 2023 19:31]

The MTU decision was a shocking slap in the face to anybody West of Cardiff, for years they have been taking things from Swansea NHS and moving them to cardiff, or trying to. Thing is, the whole Uk is plenty of evidence that trickle down doesn't work, this absurd idea that a strong capital city area will see wealth spread to the rest of the country hasn't worked in England where it's been the strategy for decades, maybe a century. The South East of England hs grown and prospered while the rest has stagnated, here in Wales the South East corner has also grown and prospered whilst the rest of us stagnate. it's the same idea with the same outcome but the lunatics in the Senedd keep doing it and expecting a different outcome, utter madness.

It's probably worth learning the difference between Wales Bashing and Welsh Government bashing.

There are five beaches deemed dangerous to swim in right now,one of these is Benllech on Snglesey , otherwise known as Manchester on sea It is a major tourist destination and tourism keeps it functioning

Just as well the Senedd finally managed to repair the bridge after the closures of one of the Bridges for 3 months due to lack on Investment by the Senedd in maintaining it in the first place. Angelsey desperately needs a third bridge just as South Wales needs an M4 relief road.

Welsh Tourism on 08:36 - Jul 18 with 1185 views | onehunglow | To improve anything, there has to be a realisation that things are not right. Many things are not right in Wales,as elsewhere, but it’s a land we care about and therefore only the best is good enough. Criticism is not hatred but often love

Is this some sort of sick joke? Any criticism about Wales, be it the country, it’s people, the language you are all over it like a cheap suit, it’s sickening.

Seems sensible to me . Are we not allowing criticism of the Senedd while still being proud of Wales?

Replace the words 'Senedd' and 'Wales' with 'Westminster' and 'Britain' and you might see the irony in your post.

Lets stick to discussing what's happening in Wales , it's always the same fall back position when the many deficiencies which are the responsibility of the Senedd or such I say those who are blameless in the eyes of too many

In fairness they are only doing what the leader of the Senedd does, always blames Westminster and accepts no responsibility.

It’s you that needs to get over it. Be honest, you despise the Welsh language, you hate the good people of North Wales, you have not a good word to say about the valleys of Wales and their residents. You coming out with words like ‘care’ and ‘love’ is just pure BS.

So if something is Welsh then people must refrain from being critical about it even if it's completely useless and actually damaging to parts of the country?

Welsh Tourism on 14:03 - Jul 18 with 1047 views | onehunglow | The Sennedd is not universally popular then in Wales. Would that be fair ? Would it be also fair to suggest many would like to see it abandoned, not that it would ever do so. Yorkshire. Hold have a senate ,it’s big enough. Lancashire too.

Maybe I mix with the wrong people, but 99% of the people I talk to would like to see the Sennedd and all the trough feeders within it, chucked on a massive bonfire.
