Adomah transitioning to do that thing that Huddlestone does at Man Utd and various other clubs do having one random senior player just to play youth games?
"a diseased bunch of mofos if there ever was one, their beauty is so awesome that listening to them at their best is like being in some vast dream cathedral decorated with a thousand gleaming American pop culture icons."
- Lester Bangs on The Beach Boys
Wow its good to be home so quick after a game. A quick summary of the match for anyone interested.
Weather was appalling and extremely wet and windy.
1st half we were kicking into the wind, and played fairly sensible keeping it on the ground and it was definitely our best half - Pedder was really lively coming forward and it was his cross into the box that set up the goal. We very nearly had a second from a similar situation before they went and scored a route one goal assisted by the wind.
2nd half, we just seemed a different side. Had a few chances but in truth Dartford deserved to win after having one cleared off the line after the keeper could make up his mind what to do and half punched to their player - Think it was Tuck who cleared off the line.
Penalties... Apart from Pedders penalty which was lame, the rest scored good penalties but our keeper only a hand to one and couldnt keep it out. Dartford fans behind the goal were pretty loud too
Players that stood out for me, was Leahy, Tuck, Pedder and Bala.
The trialist was ok but nothing great.
If I never see Micah Anthony in a Rangers shirt it would be too soon, he was shocking and got subbed after getting injured.
And finally Uncs... Well, can see why people say he's past it but he had a moment or two of what he used to be able to do but mainly in the 1st half.
A mighty 235 braved the weather but plenty of hoops supporters in attendance.
I bet the coaches get a better idea as who is progressing watching that one game, rather than ten u23 matches. So pleased we are now entering this competition, it can only help our players.
