I agree he is not the long term answer, but he has helped us out twice. I hope we can find a position in the club long term, but not as number one.

Not sure how that aligns with this article ? Usually Phil and Keith would both have their fingers on the pulses. So I would file that one under wild speculation 👍

Always happy for people to discuss our news wherever they want, as long as it is civil and not threatening then chat away. It’s a matter of decent manners to discuss things objectively. I think Burchnall may well have been a name thought about, Montague knows him, but really his managerial record is non league and he was fired at Forest Green. I’m not sure that puts him in good standing for this job. Very risky. As stated this week the candidates are not British.

The obvious answer to this is that if the Club splashed the money to appoint a decent manager, that is someone with real experience, then that manager would only sign if he knew he was going to be supported in the transfer market.

Do you think the club are likely to break their word, has it happened before. The question I would ask Richard Montague is who is charge you, the current chairman or the next chairman. It's no good agreeing anything with Montague if he will be overruled when the window opens and there is a new chairman.

That could be a deal breaker. Not the best time to interview potential new coach.

The club already know what’s next. We are a multi million pound business. I strongly suspect that our next chairman was already lined up prior to Andy’s announcement on stepping down. If I was a gambling man I would say our chairman is currently in work at a lower positioned club. But is also doing some ground work prior to coming here. Agents and serious mangers would need the bigger position. The club need to start talking to us and giving us assurances that things are coming together. But saying that no one would believe them anyway. Why can’t we have a Saudi billionaire owner 😤.

When some of those yanks came in, it was said they were worth hundreds of millions. But the have short arms and deep packets. We are a plaything for them.

Do either candidates have experience of British/Championship football though or would it be a complete unknown?

Rob Edwards took a very limited Luton side to the Premier league. There is plenty of reasons to appoint a good coach. I would like to see a manager from Europe which can bring 3-4 cheap player he knows with skill. Norwich and Huddersfield brought in good strong German players. Laudrup did this at Swansea with La liga talent . The trouble with buying potential is that it takes time and might never happen.
