Tested positive via a LTF and had my PCR test earlier this evening for clarity. Don't know why as I don't need a PCR test to tell me I have Covid as I can't describe how I feel right now.
I can't remember last time I was ill (probably over 20 , probably more like 25 years ago) but this virus is grim
I have had both vaccinations and been very careful.
If you know people that think Covid is a myth I can confirm it is not.
The people at the PCR walk in test centre at University of Essex were superb.

You have my sympathy.
If it’s any comfort I know a couple of people who have had it recently, at the same time as their teenage children. The youngsters suffered more than their parents as they hadn’t been vaccinated whereas their parents had had both jabs. Vaccines can’t stop you catching it but they sure as hell lessen the adverse effects…despite what the anti vax brigade would have you believe. | |

An update
Covid is grim. Most of the time I feel cold but sweating heavily, or very very hot and sweating even more heavily, breathing is strange like I have asthma or my chest has collapsed. Body aches, bizarrely both my elbows are very painful and I keep getting cramp in my left leg. I also now have an irritating cough. I've also lost my appetite.
Trying to sleep at night is difficult due to the breathlessness and difficulty breathing
I have a few good moments (like now) when I try to catch with the news etc but the fever and lethargy hits in cycles
I’m glad I’m double jabbed. I can’t imagine how it would have been without the vaccination
