He will have mine. We will, see what happens. He will, either be a success or will last 12-18 months.

We are only 8 points off the play offs now. So yes, the owners would definitely want us in the top six at the end of the season. Or what would be the point of changing the manager. We might be the new Watford.

If he doesn't get us into the play offs then he wont be a success therefore he wont last 12/18 months π
| π΄ Matos Latest on 21:08 - Nov 19 with 3785 views | Dr_Winston | I just want to be entertained. If we make the playoffs? Fantastic! We'll have done really well. If we don't make them? Did we do everything we could and play the best kind of football possible in an attempt to do so? If so I can live with that. I absolutely loathe the idea that we can somehow "football theory" our way there. If we hadn't wasted two years trying to do so under Russy and just played to the strengths of the players we had I'd hate him far less. Same goes for Williams and disappointingly as it turned out with Sheehan. | |

We may only be 8 points off the play offs but there are 11 teams above us with a smaller points gap all trying to achieve the same aim.

They employed a manager with experience of getting a team to a play off final.

| π΄ Matos Latest on 14:50 - Nov 20 with 2408 views | johnlangy | Does anyone have any idea what it is that the club has been so impressed by that they're trying their best to get him ? His record and experience is very limited to say the least. Perhaps i've missed it in one of Keith's reports ? | | | |

If OβDea has been appointed as interim manager then things canβt be as close as we would have thought? Do you foresee any stumbling blocks? Yes, they are only words but the club state they are confident of keeping Matos.

Because they always have to put a negative spin on on anything we do,always trying to put us down and make us look bad theyβre so jealous of us itβs bordering on obsession They are in league 1 but make out theyβre galacticos Letβs just ignore them as always,we can read the true genuine article in the Indy , where youβll find proper journalism

The club still in negotiations though, nothing has fallen through as reported elsewhere yet.

It's also reported elsewhere. Vitor Matos club have issued a press statement saying the million euros release clause does exist. They also say it has to be paid upfront. Whether is does actually exist is another matter, but the club have made those statements. So the WOL report is correct. Now the twist. It's also reported elsewhere that the Swans wanted to make the payment in stages. That has been rejected. This has got some more miles in it yet.

Thank you Pawel. He sounds a very interesting person and a very deep thinker. That doesn't help with his lack of experience but there has to be something they've seen that really impresses them, All we can do is hope and pray.

Maritimo have not mentioned a release clause. Simple as that. The fact WOL have interpreted it as that should tell you all you need to know.

The point of me posting that article was more to do with Maritimo being confident of retaining his services not the β¬1m whatchamacallit.
