Anyone know who's off and playing for their country? Jimmy Dunne and Harvey Vale for RoI,I guess, and Paul Smyth for the North, so who else is going to be missing from the training ground? Nothing on the offish.

Not much faith in Smyth by N. Ireland.. would imagine just the type of player they could do with coming on for last 20 to try and win the game, when playing with 30% possession, so on the break.. but they don't seem keen to use the bench

Yeah O’Neill obviously doesn’t fancy Smyth much, or many other subs as he only used 3 out of 5 despite NI looking out on their feet towards the end. Smyth would’ve loved a 10 minute run at them. He’s got two more games soon: if he’s too stubborn to rotate they are going to struggle.

Yes I don't like Michael O’Neill at all. He's a complete tool who rides his luck so much of the time. Perfect game for an experienced player like Smyth to go against a tiring defence but he probably would have sent on the mascot before Smyth.

Neither is Jimmy Dunne hopefully he willjust come back to QPR he is getting nowhere . Charles is really making a name for himself silently praying he gets back here safe and sound that would really hurt us if anything even small happened to him. That pitch in Jamaca did not look great either hopefully Burrell is good. Was waiting and hoping Usain Bolt would appear on the field his soccer career ended quickly I suppose

Smythie has been one of our most consistent players this season so far for me and a perfect bench option for Northern Ireland.
Have not seen the games myself, but its weird that he has had no game time, so far.
I saw Dennis Cirkin played 90 mins at Center Back in a back 5 (drew 0-0), and think he played the full 90 the other day as well (lost).. He hadn't played 90 mins for us yet. Also saw that Jonathan Varane started for Martinique the other night, and lost, not sure if he played the full 90, can't find the game info. They are currently playing and losing again 2-1 (90 mins) but cannot see the lineup, but I think he is one of the better known players in the team, so another possibly playing more international football than club football.

Seems Varane came on as a 64th minute sub against Suriname. Think he played 60 odd minutes of their 1st game.

I don’t want to sound defeatist but you can’t really have a worse fixture than West Ham away on a Friday night straight after four internationals squeeze into a window. They can put a strong side out from players who have had their feet up for three weeks. It’s poor of Sky (when isn’t it?) to have a Friday game at all next week. Probably money to be made simply backing teams with bigger squads.
Burrell back from Honduras (FFS) in whatever state he is in on Wednesday. Charles and Smyth’s final match is at home. Ireland’s is in Serbia for some reason. Saito is down as being in the Japan under-23 squad (?), Kamara in Belarus and back Wednesday.

Burrell has picked up and injury while on international duty it seems has come back from duty early to start rehab with us .
Adamson on the Bench for Australia, hoping he gets on to get the experience of marking Vini Jr. for a while, had hoped he might start as it is a second friendly and he didn't get on in the first one.
