Welsh Tourism 10:58 - Jul 17 with 50966 views | Dr_Winston | https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2023/jul/16/huge-market-untapped-lack-of-vis Already on its knees in recent years thanks to the Welsh Govts unnecessarily heavy Covid restrictions, refusal to deal with M4 congestion and seeming intention to actually make getting around in Wales even harder. To top that off we've still got the mooted tourist tax to come. Is there anything in this country that they can't screw up?

Welsh Tourism on 22:31 - Aug 10 by raynor94 | Not in the least, I have always voted Labour, I'm a lifetime member of the GMB. But I'll never vote Labour again after the way Drakeford's shower has ostracised the rest of Wales from Cardiff. Time for Wales to wake up and vote this shower out of power. It will never happen but it doesn't stop me hoping |
Surely you wouldn’t vote Tory?

No, I wouldn't vote Tory, but have really had enough of Drakeford. The sooner he's gone the better, I'd even vote Plaid before him.

These are my thoughts too. At least after the next general election the Tories will no longer be in power in Westminster. After the next Senedd elections Wales will still have Labour controlled parliament, led by God knows who. I've never voted Tory and I'm by no means on the right of politics but after over 25 years of a Welsh Labour led parliament it'll be a long time before I vote for a Labour candidate again. They are hopeless. At the last election I had nobody to vote for. I abstained from the constituency vote and voted green at a regional level. I can't bring myself to vote for Mike Hedges. Tactical voting and against my principles, but no other option.

Plaid has very similar policies to Labour, and they are basically supporting one another

We were reviewing our budget figures in work this week. There is an overspend in facilities because we brought out a contract, when asked about the overspend the Operations Director said "I understand it's appropriate these days to say it's because I was not given enough money".

I voted the same as you, the local green candidate cam to the door, spent a while talking to me and when she couldn't answer questions she promised to email me the answers and she did. The local Labour candidate didn't come around the houses, didn't answer my email until I sent a second email saying she wouldn't get my vote because she hadn't replied to the first in ver 2 weeks. In less than 2 hours I got a schitty email from her angrily declaring she was too busy. The candidate that made the most effort got my vote. Also the same as you in that I won't vote Labour, specially since this thing they came up with where we vote for the party and then they decide who gets the seat afterwards. That's not democracy, I'm voting for the person as much as the party. And yes, I'd vote Plaid before Labour and Rhun ap Iorwerth will be given a chance.

It looks like they may have spent the funding from the public purse to get it off the ground & now realise the budget might be quite a bit more than £250m - at the moment this looks as likely as the heads of the valley Grand Prix track or reversing the 20mph farce or accepting the offer of funding for the Brynglas tunnels by-pass

Welsh Tourism on 19:52 - Aug 13 with 1132 views | Togg | As much as I love my country Wales and the UK... Ireland is beautiful also but give me the Spanish coast line, a Greek island any day of the week. Wonderful weather (most of the time) wine, beer tapas and general chill out . Never been to Galicia or Rioja areas but will . For pure beauty Austria, Switzerland and parts of Deutschland. [Post edited 13 Aug 2023 19:53]

Welsh Tourism on 17:28 - Jul 17 by Wingstandwood | Shocking ain't it?..... And we all know that those extra numbers, will not in any way progress Wales, its economy, its infrastructure or future. In fact it'll be a case of the complete and utter intelligence insulting opposite. And those imbeciles that gloat, celebrate, excuse and ignore Kamikaze-governance obviously must either be a sandwich short of a picnic, incredibly thick, politically warped, spiteful, or have some sadistic pleasure or Nihilistic impulse to see ruination. Because we all know and bear witness to the bleeding bloody obvious proof/evidence/facts that Wales is decaying and being trodden into the dirt right before our very eyes. |

Maybe you should holiday in Wales, rather than giving your money to those in Zante and Benidorm

What a cracking read , which clearly explains even to those who believe everything in Wales is wonderful that Drakeford'& co''s plans for us who live and those who visit that all is certainly not wonderful in fact it shows a sad prediction of how we as a nation are being led by donkeys whose and how we will continue to struggle to compete and develop .But then again we have rain water to sell so maybe that's the answer and balls to everthing else
