But that doesn't apply only to Klopp. All clubs have someone who abuses/bullies match officials & being the 4th official must be one of the most mentally draining jobs available.
What Coote has done, is to demolish the often stated line that our referees NEVER allow past events to influence future games. It would be impossible not be be influenced, even if this was only subconsiously (as most would be).
I've never understood how players & managers etc are surprised that this happens. I recall Gary Neville saying how shocked he was when Graham Poll was addressing United players pre season about law changes & referenced events from his previous dealings with those players. | | | |
