Backed by a consortium

I'm calling 💩 but you never know.

They've already bought a Second division team in Portugal.

I think Rangers should buy Vinícius Júnior.

Am I the only one coming up with good ideas here?

Mama used to say … don’t believe everything you read on social media.

Saying that tho he was in the Connningham on Saturday.

I think an honest mistake has been made by his financial advisors here. Clearly the subtlety of the difference between "Championship team" and "Champions League team" got lost in translation.

Good rumour this as it fits, but we know it's not gonna happen.
There is no way he would buy us, as otherwise he would just be constantly nagged to play for us, even after finishing with Real.

Apart from Uncle, no one wants QPR on their footy CV.

Now, if one of us won the lottery and started taking the wrong mushrooms, that's different.

zzzzzzzzzz

I'm assuming covering the monthly two million quid costs shouldn't be a stretch for him.

Translation.

A group of investors linked to the player Vini Jr. shows interest in purchasing a second division club from England, or Queens Park Rangers Football Club (QPR).

This group was responsible for the acquisition of Alverca and Athletic, expanding its operations in football.

I think we should be offended.

They'd need to be good ones, because a lottery win isn't nearly enough to run a Championship club these days.

Or they’ve got their Rangers mixed up…..

I know the club has been seeking some investment for a while to do with that "Project Big Ben" document.

Could anyone shed any light on why any American investor would want to share 20% plus of a £24m annual bill? And what role a redeveloped or brand new stadium would have in that investment being attractive?

With the majority of even Premier League clubs being loss-making... I just don't understand why someone would want to invest? What's in it for them? Just the perverse ego trip of being able to say they own part of an English football club... Maybe a Premier League Football Club one day?

Tax write-offs must likely.

Personally I'd buy a football club so I could invite John Terry to be the guest of honour at half time. Unbeknownst to him, I'd make him swim through a 50m pool filled with penguin shìt before making him sùck off a tramp at the other end. Now that's a Super Sunday.

I suspect this will also be news to Vinicius!

Then again, who'd have thought Tango and Cash would have bought and turn us into an unstoppable footballing monster...well, for one season.

I remember watching the show Billions (very good) and Damian Lewis (very good) character wanting to buy a sports team there but being turned down as new money. Show said something along the lines of in other countries you get given peerages or marry a royal but in the US you get anointed to own a sports team.

Clearly a functional show but definitely something in the status thing- a lot cheaper to run QPR then an NFL team etc

But in the US they have collective bargaining agreements, salary caps, enormous TV rights deals and local authorities that often pay for Billionaires’ stadiums by taxing local residents.

Every single NFL and NBA franchise is profitable. Much easier to imagine that being a symbol of status and a desirable, exclusive billionaire’s club. Very, very different to paying millions per month to watch Nico Madsen with a warm lager and a microwaved hot dog.

He's running the London Marathon this year for which he'll get a medal.

He'll probably try and storm the winners podium though to claim 1st place if he gets there in time.
