A welcome return for a much loved manager or
booed as a Beale like lying deserter ?

I might clap him first half then boo him for the second

I've got no beef with Marti. He kept us up when we were at our absolute nadir.

Stefan Moore, Stefan Moore running down the wing. Stefan Moore, Stefan Moore running down the wing. He runs like a cheetah, his crosses couldn't be sweeter. Stefan Moore. Stefan Moore. Stefan Moore.

It's all redeemable though isn't it? Just look at Andy Sinton. Loved. Hated. Loved again.

Personally, I'll give Cifuentes a warm reception - he inherited a basket case and turned it into, well, something less of a basket case

Glory hunter, me

Welcome back, Marti !

I think, thankfully, this would only have been an issue if we were really struggling this season. As we are doing OK it seems a bit of a moot point.

I know not all agree, but I loved Marti, and think he did a brilliant job with the paucity of attacking options at his disposal. So a polite round of applause from me - if / when we go 4-0 up in the second half I would not be adverse to The Song making an appearance, swiftly followed by support for JS.

However this is at a Loftus Road where some cheered Sinclair Armstrong and some booed Lyndon Dykes on their return (both of which I strongly disagree with) - so each to their own, no doubt.

It would be proper cringey if any QPR supporter starts the Cifuentes song at any stage.
Doesn’t deserve any booing or any applause IMO.

I thought the general consensus was that he did a decent job under difficult conditions and was forced out the club by the upper management. Why would his reception be mixed?

JS for whatever reason doesn't seem to have anywhere near the same level of support that Marti had, even when we were in dire straights and losing every week.

Cifuentes is widely credited with saving us from what was looking like certain relegation the season he took over, plus he had a catchy song.

I liked him, but now he's just an opposition manager I want to be sent home with no points.

Poll: QPR to finish 7th or Brentford to drop out of the top 6?

Because I don't think that is the general consensus, certainly in other corners of the QPR internet.

I imagine some will boo and and hate the fella, some will clap him others will just ignore it and support the team, same as many former managers and players who came back.
I remeber Mark Hughes coming back to almost almost universal silence with Stoke despite a big build up

An exceptional coach for whom a warm reception, imho, is thoroughly deserved.

Marti and Zavi leading the team to that triumphant Leeds night in 23/24 was a survival miracle, as often discussed. In 24/25, our winter form (late-Nov to mid-Feb) was superb and very 'un-QPR-like', historically. And all this against a backdrop of boardroom/CEO shenanigans, as well documented. Really saddened when (and how) he left.

More than impressed with Julien's work, but a part of me still misses Marti at the helm.

Fair enough, although I can't see why anyone would put him in the same bracket as Beale, Redknapp or the meticulous Mark Hughes (who left no turd unturned).

I think you might be surprised on Saturday, I see quite a few people on social media who put him in exactly that bracket

Marti was always careful to cultivate support from the fans. In his very first game (Rotherham away?) he made a point of applauding the away support before the game. Clever touch. I liked him and what he did, hated the manner of hus exit.

BUT as far I'm concerned that's all in the past. I can't see myself doing much applauding, certainly won't be booing.

Poll: Do you love or hate the new Marmite ad?

Not a fan of Marty. No clapping or booing from me. Just want to win the game and will be cheering on my team.

A brief, low-energy raising of the eyebrows paired with minimal head tilt and puckering of the corners of the mouth, communicating acknowledgement without committing to a smile.

Too many forget the absolute miracle he performed to keep us in the division the season he took over from Ainsworth. We were heading for around 20 points that season. Not sure where we'd be now but for him.

I hope he gets a decent reception, had some great nights at LR with him in charge after a few dire years of ainsworth/critchley/beale etc

How quickly we forget! Some of the worst football I’ve ever seen at LR was under Cifuentes.

He's won a couple of games recently so I assume his agent is advocating for a new job. Wolves perhaps?

Baffled that this is even a thing. I’m with Ted here. He’s a manager of the opposition team. Relevant in our lives for 90 minutes only.
