Feel bad about chanting at him at the Leicester game now. Was fed up with him at the end of last season (the 0-5 against Burnley was a nadir) but with hindsight he was in an invidious position with his boss actively briefing against him.

I do wonder what today’s overpaid ego players think when they’re being barked instructions by a manager who, not long ago, was coaching in the Norwegian 2nd div.

Marti does have a promotion and a European campaign to his name in Scandinavia.
You can probably argue its not as good as the Rennes achievement but its disrespectful to completely dismiss it. |  | | |

I think, paraphrasing Clive, marti basically parred the course. And in our position that's not bad. Stephan may just par the course, or potentially so a bit better. Holloway basically parred the course too in his second spell and got sacked. I think marti is a competent manager but nothing special [Post edited 25 Jan 18:02]

Good manager. Understood what was needed - didn't get what was needed in terms of players - but still managed to make it work. I often muse about what the current crop would be like under Marti. [Post edited 25 Jan 18:18]
