Got a feeling, we will be heading for our usual defeat in the cup, and with four key players injured, am guessing it wont be a top team at all selected. And think West Ham will play a top side as a defeat here and i think Nuno loses his job. Hopefully Mr Ronnie is at least in the squad also. Regards the result, let us pray !!!

FT, West Ham progress. Sounds like we gave it a really good go. Well done my team. Safe journey home to our travelling fans.

A lot to work on. Most important though is the team spirit. The others can be worked on. Thought we acquitted ourselves well

If football wasn’t a pile of sh1t these days, we’d be looking forward to a home replay. Looking forward to reading a few “just backs”. I wonder how many we ended up having there? You R’s.

| Fourth Round Here We Come Match Thread on 17:21 - Jan 11 with 1859 views | Malintabuk | Always hate us losing but today there is absolutely no issues with that. We had a cobbled together team...and really not a lot on the bench to change things and, and the Saito injury added to that In the end we had a midfielder at LB and a young lad at RB.....and Morgan playing up front. And we have not let ourselves down The only difference between the teams was Summerville and Bowen, and out of the 2 teams, if I was a Spam supporter I would be more worried than us. Some positives, the defence and both CHs were magnificent, there is life in Cooky no doubt about that. JD was my MOTM match for us, a great leader I'm not a great fan of Walsh, but thought he had a good game today, and dealt quite well with those corners. Koli had a decent game, and so to for me did Hayden, certainly not worse than Varane. Smyth was his usual busy self and Adamson didn't embarrass himself. Well the best thing for me was we actually gave it a go. | | | |

| Fourth Round Here We Come Match Thread on 17:22 - Jan 11 with 1829 views | Damo1962 | Thought we would get bum gobbed after seeing that line up...but we have given a decent account of ourselves. Pleased for the great support who went. The depressing thing is, that this West Ham team are one of the worst Prem teams in recent years...but they were still too good for us. Take Bowden and Summervilleout of that team...and I think we could have done it today. Hopefully a good learning experience for our players. | | | |
| Fourth Round Here We Come Match Thread on 17:24 - Jan 11 with 1762 views | DWQPR | Says something that every WHAM player except Potts cost more individually than our whole starting eleven and yet we took them to the end. I feel that two players came of age today, Kolli who didn’t look out of place against a PL defence and caused them plenty of problems, and Joe Walsh, two outstanding saves and by the end looked quite comfortable with those inswinging crosses. Shame we didn’t have our best team out as I reckon we would have turned them over. Onwards and upwards. | |

| Fourth Round Here We Come Match Thread on 17:25 - Jan 11 with 1733 views | davman | The Authorities have to do something about that Festive Schedule. It has decimated our squad (and I'll bet a few others) and so the quality falls through the floor. So, so far behind a sh1te Prem Team just like we were last season. The FA Cup comes at the wrong time... The effort was there and can't be faulted; this time the club did "have a go", but we've now got no-one left. Was that WBA game in the middle of Xmas really worth it? Better than I thought it would be, but apart from effort (which we matched them on) we were miles behind them on quality. | |

| Fourth Round Here We Come Match Thread on 17:25 - Jan 11 with 1721 views | bosh67 | A big shame to go out but we gave it a real go and to be toe to toe with what is still a Prem team after 90+ minutes should show them what they can do at this level with application. I think a bit more experience and bravery right near the end with the ball Morgan put in and we may have got ourselves level. Look we and 9000+ fans asked them to give everything they had and I think they did. When you think that Bowen (an England player) alone is a ÂŁ50m-ÂŁ60m+ player and that's almost double the value of our squad right now, you have to think we did pretty well. From a technical point of view I hope Julien and the team go through the match stats with the squad during the week because although obviously West Ham had home advantage, there are stats here that we can learn from if we are going to one day challenge. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/fo Tell you what though, if as and when West Ham take the drop I think we'll have them next season. Chair and Burrell could have swung it, as we'd have got amongst their central defenders and kept possession a lot better - both of which we struggled to do during the game. Varane would just have trotted around in his usual half-dazed way and created nothing. | |

Agree that Kolli is definitely developing, though he was as in and out today as he likely will continue to be for a while, and that Walsh looks like a keeper (in both senses). Also agree with the poster who pointed out we need a lot more technical quality if we're to go anywhere.

This! We looked leggy and did bloody well to go toe-to-toe with them right to the end. I think fatigue is now our enemy and the Morgans, Bennies, Adamsons need to step up and step in. No one hid. No one shirked. Fair play Rangers....but West Ham are in trouble!

| Fourth Round Here We Come Match Thread on 17:33 - Jan 11 with 1463 views | hoopstar67 | I know we didn't get tanked but I was actually disappointed with the quality we showed out there. Not much going forward, people saying we gave it a goog go,can't actually agree with that,I'm usually positive with most stuff but was really underwhelmed with it . Just really poor quality going forward. West Ham were there for the taking i thought and we didn't take it too them. | | | |

Support in the ground sounded terrific on the radio, well done to all involved. Puts a bit of context on our track record in the cups, though. We're a fairly easily pleased bunch - put out a proper team and give it a bit of a go and we'll be happy. I'd like to think a message has got through, Julien seems to get it anyway. Good to hear Bradley Allen on the radio commentary too.
