I watched the last episode of line of duty and thought that was good. Undercover has finally grabbed by attention. I quite like some of the investigative programmes Stacey Dooley does. However I can't wait for the next series of people just do nothing.

"Steve" premiered on Netflix yesterday and is a very powerful film. Stars Cillian Murphy, Tracey Ullman and Roger Allam.

Tracey Ullman???

Anyone watching that Netflix series about Ed Gein? Goes off on a hundred different tangents, is quite gruesome and not particularly good so far. Trying too hard I think. But I'll probably stick it out to the end anyway.

Started it the other night, quite enjoying it I think. With regards to 'tangents', had no idea Hitchcock based Psycho on this Gein or is this purely fiction?

I think it is based on Gein. Seems to be quite a bit of artistic/poetic licence in the Netflix series though.

For those without Paramount + , I see BBC iPlayer has series 1 of Twisted Metal available. Based on the video game and set in dystopian US it's really well made with some great characters.

Just finished The Hack. I wasn't sure at first how I felt about the style of the drama, breaking the 4th wall and some of the graphics, but in the end it didn't get in the way of the horrific actions by some of the tabloid press.
I read the book when it came out and it made me angry then, and watching this has made me angry again, especially when they add at the end that part 2 of Levinson was shut down by the Tories, and that this Labour Government, (which promised Levinson part 2 would go ahead) are not going ahead with it.
Overall a good watch.

The telling of the story is much more important than the relatively minor flaws of the dramatisation.

It really lifts the lid on how national institutions can be hoodwinked, captured and corrupted by powerful corporations and what those corporations are prepared to do to anyone who threatens them. And how the key top executives of those corporations are able to escape legal consequences.

Poll: QPR to finish 7th or Brentford to drop out of the top 6?

I read recently that Murdoch is getting his hands on TikTok next.
Shameful that the Government are not going to push this enquiry further.

Traitors is a classic example of the kind of show we sometimes put on when it's late saying "let's just watch something stupid, I'm tired and can't be bothered watching anything good", and then end up obsessively binging it.

Borderline on ITVx just finished.

My advice is….. don’t bother.

Three 2 part “dramas” set on the Oirish border with a really annoying pair of lead actors (overly hard ass lesbian from South, God fearing prod man from North).
The acting is terrible, storylines weak but some of the countryside is nice

A waste of 300 minutes

Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

I'm really enjoying 'The Hack'.

The breaking of the fourth wall might get tiresome alright, but so far it's serious and funny at the same time, and that's keeping me hooked.

I've had the privilege of seeing next week's episode early. Ep6 - the penultimate episode, and it's one of the finest pieces of TV I've seen in recent memory. Up there with True Detective Season 1 quality of writing. Hopefully it sticks the landing.

I thought ‘The Hack’ was great. I do agree with L Block that there was a lot to take in and found I had to rewatch some of the episodes to really let it sink in. Essential viewing.

I’ve just watched the first two episodes of ‘Alan Partridge - How Are You?’ and think it’s outstanding. Comedy acting doesn’t get any better than this.

I made this comment to my partner while watching this, and she said ‘if you take that away it’s just people talking about emails’.

That’s more like it, my wife’s been recording this, it’ll mysteriously ‘go missing’ shortly and save us both 300 minutes.

I reckon all dramas should come with a warning if there’s any overly stereotypical characters involved, you can guarantee it’ll be dogshit.

I had to watch that work work and it is very dull

The Offer is on ITVX now, have probably mentioned this before but is about the Making of the Godfather films and is brilliant

Hosue of Guinness.... superb I thought.

Frustrating ending but just screams "WATCH SERIES TWO!!"

No idea how much of it is factual but thought it was really well done.
Really like James Norton and he'd be my choice as the next James Bond

I watched the first one last night and really liked it. Great tip, thanks 👍

Another vote for Arrested Development, which I keep going back to. David Cross’ character, Tobias, is just so, so funny. The business cards/number plate that “almost got you arrested” joke really had me in stiches.

I need a SAGA. What’s the SAGA? It’s ….. Queen’s Park Rangers.

Blue Lights, every season gets better. Top class acting and scripts. Season 3 Episode 4, was compelling TV and directed by ex Corrie Angela Griffin, she did an amazing job. Can see this show picking up more awards this year.

I totally agree, it's excellent 👏
