I quite like some of the investigative programmes Stacey Dooley does. However I can't wait for the next series of people just do nothing.

| Half decent tv on 11:45 - Nov 20 by BrianMcCarthy | I've been watching 'Foyle's War'. Gentle stuff, English maidens with rosy cheeks, chaps with nice hats, Blighty at her best. Fairly decent whodunnits, even if they always seem to follow the whodunnit rule that the crack detectives never catch the murderer until there's been at least one more murder. I always think there's another detective off-screen, muttering "I'm better than him but they won't give me a case cos I don't have a hat". |
Ha, what a co-incidence. Foyles War is our midweek-while having our tea programme of choice atm. As you say, gentle stuff but very entertaining and because it’s a few years old now, there’s quite a few “oh, look who that is!” moments in it - not only the lovely Rosamund but Lily James was in an early episode. Even Danny Dire 🤣 Check out “Brian Pern” if you can - Michael Kitchen is just great as his crafty scheming manager.
| I need a SAGA. What’s the SAGA? It’s ….. Queen’s Park Rangers. |

Filmed over 5 years the story lines and the filming is incredible how they do it I honestly don’t know. Narrated by the master it is nature programming at its very best. It is also very sad at times as well.

I’m not sure if I like it or not. Emma Thompson plays a unforgiving private eye not quite as rude as Jackson Lamb in Slow Horses. .

I'm not sure how I stumbled across it but if it was one of you lovely people, then thanks. It's the story of Philby, Burgess and Co. Strong cast, with Tom Hollander the pick so far. Really very touching at times.

I can't decide either, Ladbroke. Borders into the farcical a bit too often, maybe.
